Thymn Chase

An American musician, writer and entrepreneur based in Kraków, he has lived, worked, and created in Poland for the last 15 years. Over the years Thymn has found, earned, made, purchased, borrowed and, most importantly, worn many hats. After a mandatory tour of duty as an ex-pat English teacher he spent 12 years working as a freelance journalist, magazine editor, actor, mapmaker, travel writer, script translator and radio show host before landing in the IT world as a marketing professional.

The only real through-line throughout the many career shifts and pivots has been music. Thymn has been, still is, or will be a member of numerous Kraków-based bands including the Urban Jellen Test, Eluktrick, Smingus, Wire/Cutter, plus a Hungarian psychedelic rock outfit called Tegnaputan. Besides touring and performing with bands he also composes music for film, stage, audiobooks and regularly collaborates with his wife Kasia on soundscapes for her exhibitions.
