International Piano Day 2021

🇬🇧 I am a pianist and singer with a solid jazz background. I am too serious for cheerful descriptions of my work, but I can say that for me, music is the best part of my existence. My main inspiration are my roots, the place I come from, its tradition, music and people because thanks to them I have learned to perceive the world as it is in my musical “relationships”. I like to get into unpredictable situations, because adrenaline and strong emotions immediately trigger a creative process. I like to develop in different directions, learn and get to know new things because I know that I will have something to say, something to play. 🙂

🇵🇱 Jestem pianistką oraz wokalistką z solidnym jazzowym zapleczem. Jestem zbyt poważna dla wesołych opisów swojej twórczości, natomiast mogę stwierdzić, że muzyka dla mnie jest najlepszą formą mojego istnienia. Moją główną inspiracją są moje korzenia, miejsce, z którego pochodzę, jego tradycja, muzyka i ludzie, bo właśnie dzięki temu ja nauczyłam się postrzegać świat takim, jaki on jest w moich muzycznych “relacjach”. Lubię trafiać w nieprzewidywalne sytuacje, bo adrenalina i silne emocje natychmiast powodują proces tworzenia. Lubię się rozwijać w różnych kierunkach, uczyć się nowego i umieć więcej, bo wiem, że będę miała o czym grać. 🙂

A composer and producer of ambient, alternative music, ZENON7 is the project of Kasia Przedpełska, a graduate of the Moniuszko music school in Łódź (piano class) and the vocal department of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków.

🇬🇧 I create music for amateur films. I have a small portfolio of music, which I am constantly working on and improving and I would like to make it available after being remastered. Additionally, I took my first steps on YouTube as a co-creator of the Tramadoli channel.

🇵🇱 Staram się tworzyć muzykę do której potem powstają amatorskie filmy. Posiadam niewielkie portfolio muzyki, którą chciałbym udostępnić po odpowiednim remasteringu nad którym ciągle pracuje i poprawiam. Dodatkowo stawiam pierwsze kroki na YT będąc współtwórcą kanału Tramadoli.

🇬🇧 Music frees me from the restlessness and sometimes boredom of everyday life. It has been close to me since an early age, and yet I took up production only fully after ticking off a quarter of a century of life. My penchant for film music, piano, funk, synthwave (or retro/vintage in general) permeates through the music I record. I do not associate myself with only one style, but create what is “playing in my soul” at the moment. I draw inspiration from artists such as Two Steps from Hell, Ludovico Einaudi, Daft Punk, Jungle, Crazy P and many others. I always start with the piano and although its sound does not always remain in the compositions, it is the most wonderful instrument for creating new melodies, sounds and stories.

🇵🇱 Muzyka uwalnia mnie od niespokojnej, a czasem nudnej codzienności. Jest mi bliska od małego, a jednak produkcją zająłem się dopiero w pełni  po odhaczeniu ćwierćwiecza w metryce. Moje upodobanie do muzyki filmowej, fortepianowej, funk, synthwave (czy ogólnie retro/vintage) [Two Steps from Hell, Ludovico Einaudi, Daft Punk, Jungle, Crazy P i wielu wielu innych] przenika przez to, co nagrywam. Nie wiążę się więc z tylko jednym stylem – tworzę to, co w danej chwili “w duszy gra”. Zawsze zaczynam od pianina. I choć nie zawsze jego brzmienie zostaje w kompozycjach, to jest to najwspanialszy instrument do kreowania nowych melodii, brzmień i opowieści.

Smingus is an international five-piece band with a deep sentiment for folk and a permanent penchant for raw, soul-rattling lyricism. Their music is constantly evolving as the band’s leader and chief songwriter Dave Molus searches for new textures and canvases on which to paint his sonic landscapes & emotional portraits. Backing vocals and keyboards, Thymn Chase is a local, North American musician and creative part of the Kraków Music community and leading force behind a plethora of musical projects.

Wire/Cutter is a collaborative project between American Musician/Singer/Songwriter Thymn Chase and Polish Producer/DJ/Musician Mateusz Majewski. The songs, sounds, and syncopations of Wire/Cutter eschew genre and lyrically lean to the left of laughter. Listen between the lines – cut the wire.

I’m in love with music since I was 15, so more than half of my life. That journey started with the guitar and rock music, but through the years I found inspiration in other genres and fell in love with piano. I discovered the music of Siergiej Rachmaninoff and that was the biggest turning point in my music life. Even though I mostly focus on producing electronic music, he still remains my biggest inspiration.
